Global Warming Is A Natural Phenomenon - 1218 Words
Global Warming Global warming is a natural phenomenon. People produce greenhouse gases, like carbon dioxide, by burning fossil minerals, cutting down trees and stripping the land, often referred to as deforestation. These greenhouse gases have high permeability to the visible light from the sun radiation, but they are highly absorbent to the long wave radiation that is reflected from the earth. These gases have especially strong absorption to the infrared from ground radiation. This phenomenon is often called the greenhouse effect and leads to global warming. Global warming can make glaciers and permafrost melt, sea level rises, and it can redistribute precipitation. It is harmful to the balance of natural ecosystems, human food supply, and the living environments. In the last 100 years, the global average temperature has experienced four volatilities, but the whole pattern of earth temperature is rising. After entering the 80s, global temperature rose significantly. The two main causes of global w arming are atmospheric pollution, population increase. The most serious effect of global warming is sea level rise; however, we can solve this problem through the effects of researchers, the government and the people. Atmospheric pollution is one of the main reasons that lead to global warming. Earth, itself produce greenhouse gases constantly, but growth in industry, agriculture, and transportation since the Industrial Revolution has brought additional quantities of theShow MoreRelatedGlobal Warming : A Natural Phenomenon959 Words à |à 4 PagesGlobal Warming What is Global warming? Countless feel as if it is a natural phenomenon the Earth cycles through. Those individuals are terribly mistaken. It is the effect of greenhouse gasses emitted by the machines we use today. These gasses are becoming trapped in the earthââ¬â¢s atmosphere, causing the temperature to rise. The effects of global warming are all around us and are becoming more prominent. Some scientists are saying this is a completely man made problem. There are two clear sides to this subject and both have evidence, but the evidence is stronger on that global warming is just Mother Nature at work. The government has poured hundreds of millions of tax payer dollars into research for manmade global warming. The theory is that humans are causing the ââ¬Å"greenhouse effectâ⬠and putting tooRead MoreGlobal Warming : Human Exploit Or Natural Phenomenon941 Words à |à 4 PagesGlobal Warming; Human Exploit or Natural Phenomenon Global warming stems back to the beginning of time. In more recent years, however, the discussion about this phenomenon has been that itââ¬â¢s happening too rapidly and opposing sides argue that this may be a natural occurrence involving the sun or the result of human activity in which may be to blame. An adversary from St. Petersburg s Pulkovo Astronomical Observatory in Russia, the head of space research, Habibullo Abdussamatov stated that ââ¬Å"Man-madeRead MoreGlobal Warming: Why Its the Governments Job to Halt a Perfectly Natural Phenomenon1584 Words à |à 7 Pagespattern occasioned by the global warming. Extreme and erratic weather conditions have been experienced in almost every part of the world. This essay will review the literature that is available on the definition of Global warming, the causes of global warming, effects of global warming on the community and nations, what the government is doing to stop global warming, as well as what Non-Governmental Organizations or Non-State Organizations are doing to stop global warming and finally what should beRead MoreGlobal Warming Is Caused By Human Beings1174 Words à |à 5 PagesGlobal Warming Global warming appears to be caused by human beings. There is too much CO2 in the atmosphere for plants and trees to take in all of it. There is strong evidence that humans are to blame, not just due to cars and factories but also from agriculture. A majority of scientists and scientific organizations believe humans are causing global warming. Global Warming is controversial. It is a perplexing phenomenon. Some people think it is a normal occurrence, others are afraidRead MoreEssay on Is Climate Change Natural or Man-Made?1160 Words à |à 5 PagesClimate Change Natural or Man-made? Introduction The planet has been experiencing considerable climate change for the last several decades. There have been many explanations toward the main causes of the increased warming of the planet. On one hand are the environmentalists who believe that the major cause of this increased warming of the planet is the increase in greenhouse gases in the atmosphere induced by human activities. On the other hand, the scientists believe that there are natural causes ofRead MoreGlobal Warming : Causes And Mitigation1319 Words à |à 6 Pages Global Warming: Cause and Mitigation Global Warming: Cause and Mitigation Introduction The topic of global warming has received a lot of attention for the past couple of decades. The massive impacts and risks posed by this phenomenon on humans and environment have been severe, thus calling for swift attention. Basically, globalization refers to the rise of average temperature of oceans and earthââ¬â¢s atmosphere. Global warming is a reality which has faced the human society for over aRead MoreThe Effects Of Global Warming On Earth1577 Words à |à 7 Pagesyears, a phenomenon known as the greenhouse effect kept the earth at a comfortable temperature to allow life on earth. This process is necessary to support and maintain life on earth. But just like any good thing, too much of it could be dangerous. Greenhouse gases acts as a blanket that is wrapped around the earth. This traps energy in the atmosphere and the energy is then heated up by the sunââ¬â¢s rays. Because of this, another phenomenon has come to be. It is known as global warming. What this means is that global warming, which we considered it as a manmade disaster, might just be a part of the Earthââ¬â¢s fluctuating cycles. Before we move on to the clashes regarding global warming, I want to clarify the definitions of the terms that I will be discussing. Referring to NASA, global warming is the increase in Earth s average surface temperature due
